As a counsellor and psychotherapist, I bring a unique blend of experiences, stemming from my background in the corporate business world, through to motherhood. Recognising the many stressors of everyday life, I offer an eclectic approach to therapy, drawing on principles that support client-centred approaches. My ethos revolves around kindness and empathy, and my focus areas of work include anxiety, depression, stress management, self-esteem and other mental health concerns. I am formally trained in ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) and a variety of other modalities that will suit differing client situations. I prioritize creating a non-judgmental and trauma-informed space that supports individuals on their path towards healing and self-discovery.

Alicia is passionate about creating a warm and empathetic space to support her clients with and through their concerns, needs and suffering. With a trauma informed background and experience she is able to assist people aged 16 + with a range of therapies tailored to suit individual needs.

Praxedise is a compassionate support worker whose heart beats for both adventure and altruism. When not offering care, I seek thrills in the great outdoors, navigating trails and embracing the unknown. My weekends are dedicated to charity work, where my passion for making a difference shines through. A voracious reader, who finds solace in novels, delving into captivating stories that broaden my empathy. Evenings are reserved for documentaries, as I immerses myself in the diverse tapestry of human experiences. my multifaceted interests shape a support worker who not only provides care but also inspires others to embrace life’s adventures and contribute to the well-being of humanity.

I have a diploma in Nursing, with experience in aged care and memory support. I became a nurse because I enjoy helping others and learning about the human body and how it works.

Hi my name is Julie and I have been a disbaility support worker for the past 6 years. I enjoy my job immensely working with individuals with both physical and mental illnesses. I want to support people in their journey to be the best possible version of themselves. In doing so, I have recently completed a Certificate IV in Alochol and Other Drugs and Certificate IV in Mental Health.

I am a young adult embarking on a journey of self-discovery and exploration. I believe life is an incredible adventure and I’m determined to make the most of it! I am a serious music enthusiast, have a bad case of wanderlust, and love exploring nature. I am also passionate about the connections I form with people from all walks of life. I’m a health ‘freak’! I love all the things necessary for a long, healthy, happy life – good food, exercise, rest, people (and animals)! I’ve been a fitness therapist for 20 years so have supported and shared in many client’s positive growth. I love being outdoors, walking and surfing, but at home I’ll cook healthy food, read, watch movies and sometimes do art. I’m very organised and need a clean environment

Raymond is a Kenyan currently residing in Australia. His pursuit of knowledge has brought him to the land down under, where is is diligently working towards a Masters in Professional Accounting. Beyond academics, Raymond’s true essence shines through his compassion and empathy for others. He is driven by a profound desire to make a positive impact on people’s lives. His passion lies in seeing individuals succeed, and he actively channels this energy into his role as a support worker. Through his meaningful work, Raymond extends a helping hand to those in need, offering support, guidance and an unwavering belief in their potential

I am a caring, professional and experienced disability support worker whom has undergone various training programs with close to two years experience in a support role and a passion for improving the quality of life of individuals with a disability.

I am Marian, a support worker and permanent resident of Australia. I am holding two qualifications which are a Certificate IV in Disability and Diploma in Community Services

I’ve worked with all ages from primary school to aged care. I have studied a Certificate III in Individual Support and completed short courses on meditation, qigong and Holistic counselling. I enjoy being outdoors and in nature.

I come from a large family with 5 brothers and 4 sisters. I have 3 children of my own. I enjoy socialising with friends, going out for dinner, reading books, but shopping is my favourite thing! I am easy going and always look on the bright side of life.

I am a very hardworking person. I also want to see people happy at all times. I love shopping and dancing, as well as, cooking. My best dish is Okro and pounded yam. I have worked in several roles developing a wide variety of skills. I enjoy conversing and interacting with people and believe social interaction plus working together makes for an interesting life. I have a keen interest in “finding what works and how things work” while utilising technology to assist. I enjoy working both in and outdoors

I love to travel, do adventure activities and explore new places. I also enjoy walking and camping around creeks and falls.

I am Danielle, I love yoga, bushwalking, arts & crafts and quality family/friend time. I also love baking and cooking in general, I am a qualified yoga instructor and barista. I love getting to meet people from all walks of life! I am currently enrolled in a Certificate III in Community Services, and look forward to working with participants within Magnus Health.

I am a Support Worker with a NDIS Disability Yellow card as well as a Blue Card for working with children. With a Certificate 4 in Youth Work. I have been fortunate to have been able to run awareness campaigns and initiatives for charities for the past 4 years. And, now I am learning how to grow within the Disability Industry.

I am a 19 year old who has a passion for supporting and assisting others in everyday life. I recently graduated from Griffith College with a Diploma of Social and Psychological Science and fell in love with the field from the beginning of my studies. I am very family orientated , I love being around my friends, going to the gym, gaming. I also have a position at SeaWorld where I enjoy interacting with guests, helping the general public and love theme-parks in general. I also enjoy the movies, arcades, restaurants and the beach.

I am currently studying my Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) with a tong-term goal of becoming a clinical psychologist. I am driven by the desire to help people to thrive in their own life. everybody is unique in their own life goals, desires and dreams and I love learning from other peoples life experiences, hearing their story and meeting each person as they are.

Janette has been with Magnus Health since late 2020. We admire her attention to detail and the dedication she has in supporting her participant and their independence. When Janette isn’t at work we can guarantee she is spoiling her beautiful dogs.

I am a 2nd year Nursing Student and some of my hobbies include, Pilates, crocheting and going for walks.

I am a learning support/special needs teacher aide. I have a Cert 3 in Children’s services and a Cert 3 + 4 in Fitness. I love adventure and movement and love seeing people achieve their goals.

I’m always eager to listen, provide support and care whilst ensuring independent decision making/choice to the people I serve. Evening walks and occasional cycle helps me recharge. Currently studying a Cretificate IV course in Disability.

Laney moved to Australia from Southern NZ in 2011 to care for her grandchildren – now grown up. She loves caravanning in QLD and is very involved in Community Theatre. With a background of customer service and Community Radio, Laney loves meeting and working with people in all walks of life.

Pisila has a Certificate Ill in Aged Care and prides herself on her ability to foster strong relationships with people from diverse backgrounds and collaborate with team members to achieve organisational objectives.

As a nursing student, I have had the privilege of working in both aged care and hospital settings where my love and passion for providing care and support really blossomed. I take pride in what I do and always try and approach my work with enthusiasm.

Compassionate and a little crazy. Working as a support worker is all about getting to know the individuals that you work with and supporting them with their individual needs, interests and goals – I can’t think of anything more fun, rewarding and exciting than that… can you?

Bradley enjoys carpentry, movies, computers and gaming and the outdoors. He is originally from South Africa and been working in mental health for 7 years. Bradley has a calming and chill personality and looks forward to working with us.

Morgan is best described as down to earth and chilled. He has worked with a wide range of participants with varying disabilities and is liked by all. He enjoys, camping, fishing and gaming but is easily able to chat about anything. He also is a big dog lover.

Kelly has extensive experience in the disability space. She is a person who loves to help, so the disability pathway was a no brainer for her. Kelly also has a special interest in making speciality cakes for any occasion!

Callum is a kind-hearted individual who will give anything a go. He is currently studying a Bachelor of Information and Technology at QUT. Callum enjoys supporting his participants to try new activities and reach their goals.

I have been working in care for 17 years and more recently have discovered my passion for disability support work. I enjoy travelling overseas and spending time with family.

Mature kind person and have a good ear for listening. I am a mother of many. Always up for adventure, fun and really enjoy rugby. I love outdoor and indoor activities and will try anything to enable all to enjoy life to the fullest. I will always enable that better quality of life.

Wendy has been with Magnus Health from the very early stages of the company. Her caring nature and ability to bring joy to a sometimes difficult day is amazing to watch! Wendy is a very valued member of our team and encourages all those around her.

l have worked in a diverse range of disability and youth settings over the past five years. Due to my keen interest in mental health I have enrolled at Griffith University studying a Bachelor of Nursing with the aspiration of becoming a mental health nurse upon my graduation. I have a passion for supporting people and I believe people deserve to have their voices heard and valued.

I’m Joe. I was born in Bundaberg but spent most my adult life in Logan until about 5 years ago when my wife encouraged me to move back to her home town on the Gold Coast. We love living here and raising our two bous (with a baby girl on the way). I love music. I have been playing the drums since I was 5 years old. I also enjoy cooking.

Hi I’m Emma! I’m a guitarist and mum and hold a Bachelor of Psychology and Bachelor of Music. I love getting crafty, getting outdoors, and – of course – music! I look forward to helping participants reach their goals and life the life they choose.

I am from Ireland and have been living in Australia since 2016. I have a deep passion for mental health care and providing person centred support. l have almost ten years of experience working in a variety of mental healthcare settings. I love the culture Magnus Health has created and I truly believe they are the best at what they do.

I have a very sport orientated background, played Netball for QLD! I love the gym, yoga, bike riding, bush walking, swimming and anything physical. I have keen interests in gardening and indoor plants, cooking and backing, shopping and weekend markets. Love the beach and weekends away. I’m very interested in people from all walks of life.

Earylan hold a Certificate III in Individuals Support. Everyday she displays organisation, effective communication and a strong work ethic. She helps to support those around her in being the best they can, participants and support workers alike. She enjoys the fast pace environment that disability support work sometimes provides.

Claire is working towards her Bachelor of Nursing and aspires to become a RN. She has a background as a Swim Instructor which helped her develop patience, effective communicate and rapport building. Claire has worked her way into a senior position as a result of her diligence and commitment to her participants.

A newer addition to the Magnus Health Team, Danielle has exceeded our expectations. She obtained a Diploma of Nursing in 2022. She is bright, bubbly and uplifting and this shows in everything she does! She is able to quickly build rapport with anyone and is passionate about providing high quality care.

I am currently studying a duel Bachelor of Psychological Science and Criminology at Griffith University. I so much love for animals whether they are big or small. I love to provide a sense of comfort to everyone I meet and love help and working with people.

Michelle has 10+years experience caring for and supporting dementia residents. Making the slightest change in someone’s day makes her happy. Michelle is very bubbly and loves a good chat and singing!

I want to make the most of everyday and do that with my amazing family and fur babies. Most of all, I love the great team at Magnus.

I am a wife and mother of 4, I am naturally a very caring, supportive and giving person who is very family-orientated. I feel being a support worker comes naturally to me, I don’t see it as a job, rather just an extension of my life. I love supporting others and helping them to achieve, no matter how bigor small the goal is.

James is interested in fishing, camping, boating and cars and uses his skills in these areas to teach and upskill partcipants.

He works with a number of our male participants and has taken on a leadership role at Magnus Health.

Maddy is currently working towards a Bachelor in Law (Honours) and Behavioural Psychology. She started with Magnus Health as a support worker and has shifted in to a dual role, now working as a member of our admin team as well. Maddy is passionate about helping people and wants to develop her understanding of mental health and how to support individuals struggling in their day to day lives.

She loves interacting with everyone who comes in and out of our offices and trying to make their day even a little bit brighter.

Rhiannon was given the opportunity to join the Magnus Health team in 2022 as an admin staff member. She graduated from the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program in 2021 with a score equivalent to a 92.60 ATAR or an OP 6.

I joined the team at Magnus Health in 2022 coming from a background in the childcare sector and have also completed some nursing studies. I live on the Gold Coast and have 3 beautiful children. I have multiple neurodivergent people in family and am passionate about bringing awareness to mental health and the impact quality care through allied health can have on individuals to live full and happy lives.

When I am not at work you can find me at home by the pool or out and about with my children making memories and spending time with family.

Elina is a Provisional Psychologist completing the 4 + 2 internship pathway at Magnus Health. She graduated from Griffith University with a Bachelor of Psychological Science in 2010 and completed her Honours(Distinction) at Monash University Melbourne in 2021. Since graduating, Elina has worked in diverse settings, including private practice and Government organisations, gaining a variety of skills and knowledge.

Elina has experience working in Queensland Corrective Services where she primarily supported client’s rehabilitation in compliancy to assist with reintegration into the community. She has also therapeutically worked with families going through separation with children, relationship breakdowns, family and domestic violence, child abuse, substance abuse and suicide prevention.

Elina has worked with a broad range of clinical presentations including depression, anxiety, grief, clients of ethnic and culturally diverse backgrounds, and has administered psychometric assessments for schooling purposes.

Elina believes that being able to provide people with psychoeducation and understanding empowers us to live better, be better and support each other.

Susan has an undergraduate degree in a Bachelor of Psychological Science from Griffith University and a Post Graduate Diploma from Queensland University of Technology. Susan has over 9 years of practice experience both provisionally and as a generally registered psychologist.

She has worked for Queensland Corrective Service with experience as a psychologist, senior psychologist, senior advisor, senior practitioner, practice lead positions and in program delivery.

Susan has knowledge of a wide range of risk management, assessment and intervention strategies for specific offending behaviours, as well as a broad knowledge of mental health presentations and treatment strategies. Susan’s style is casual and client lead with a passion to see people thrive. Susan is also a STAP approved supervisor with the Psychology Board of Australia.

Nathan has extensive experience in the child protection field, both as a Direct Carer and as a Team Leader. He developed a keen understanding of trauma, how it affects individuals, and most importantly how to support these people during times where they struggle to “keep their cool.”

Nathan’s experience in child protection has equipped him well for working in the Mental Health field. He has a gentle nature and a person- centred approach and understands the importance of our relationships with others. He also has a rather odd sense of humour that can take some getting used to!

Nathan holds a Bachelor of Social Science (Human Services). His experience, the skills he has collected along the way and his enthusiastic, friendly nature makes him a valuable member of the team at Magnus Health.

Nicole is a new member of the Magnus Health team. She has extensive experience in supporting women who have experienced domestic and family violence. Nicole has supported people experiencing crisis, anxiety, depression, feelings of shame and guilt and trauma. Nicole is passionate in supporting people gain a greater understanding of their life experiences and starting to live the lives they deserve.

Nicole works with people to identify their needs and adopt strategies to achieve their goals and to sustain these changes. Nicole has an empathetic and caring nature which places the person at the centre of their counselling needs. She is able to provide counselling for participants under the NDIS, DVA, EAP and private clients. Nicole has a Bachelor of Social Work from Charles Sturt University and is a member of the Australian Association of Social Workers.

Lewis started with Magnus Health in January 2020 as a support worker. He has continued to develop his skills moving on to managing several Supported Independent Living houses and has now shifted into a Care Coordinator role where we believe he will excel.

Lewis demonstrates compassion, determination and dedication in every role or task. He has also assisted those around him in their own personal development due to his strong leadership skills. Lewis is able to bring insight as well as some light to difficult situations, easily building rapport with his participants and creating an environment that supports them to achieve their goals.

He obtained a Diploma of Community Services in 2020 but has continued to engage in training through Magnus Health to develop his skills and knowledge which he has implemented in the field.

Kath has come on board to Magnus Health in search of a career change, she joined us in October of 2022 and has been thriving in her new role ever since. Kath is a registered psychologist and uses her background and experience to support our participants and their rights to freedom and dignity. Previously Kath was working as a psychologist in both the public and private sector where she has upwards of 15 years’ experience in the forensic field, community psychology and employment services. During this time, she worked with high-risk individuals with a wide range of mental health presentations, providing assessment and treatment. Her extensive experience in this field has assisted her transition into the disability support industry.

Kath has also worked with Queensland Corrective Services, for 14 years, during this time she used her knowledge and skills as a Program Facilitator, Program Supervisor and Principal adviser in offender rehabilitation. Kath has demonstrated her ability to work in a range of environments, assisting a variety of individuals, with her kind and friendly demeanour and smile.

Kath is a valuable asset to Magnus Health and is excited to be part of our passionate team.

Leshay has upwards of 15 years experience as a Psychologist working in a multitude of settings. She has worked extensively in the mental health field where she assessed and treated those with depression, anxiety, PTSD, schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. Leshay values her work in the forensic setting with high-risk clients as well as in the mental health sector as it emphasised the important of providing person-centred support which she has carried through to Magnus Health.

Leshay joined Magnus Health in June of 2020 and has utilised her experience in acute mental health to support both our participants and staff. Her kind and caring nature alongside her enthusiasm and focus on person-centred support makes Leshay a beneficial and valued member of our team.

Shelley has been with Magnus Health from the beginning and her role in the company has grown significantly. Originally Shelley worked as a support worker which allowed her to develop rapport and an understanding of our participants and their needs. Shelley still works closely with participants and support workers by assisting them to achieve their goals and strive towards their best.

Too further her own education and self Shelley completed her Diploma of Community Services but aims to further explore the realm of mental health. Shelley is also a qualified MAPA (Managing Actual or Potential Anger) certified Trainer, and delivers this training to all our Magnus Health Staff. Shelley is extremely passionate about her career and goes above and beyond what is required.

Shelley has been a psychologist for many years and was employed for ten years by Queensland Corrective Services. She has provided treatment and assessment to the highest risk prisoners in Queensland and has experience treating men and women in prison, many of whom had a mental health condition or a cognitive disability. Shelley has also worked as a psychologist for Queensland Health working in the Acute Young Adult

Ward at Robina hospital and at the Acquired Brain Injury Rehabilitation unit at the Gold Coast Hospital. For the past seven years Shelley has been running her own psychology private practice and won a tender to Queensland Corrective Services.

She has treated clients with many different mental health conditions including ASD and Intellectual Disability. Over this time Shelley has provided a number of assessments, as a psychologist, for clients which have enabled them to access NDIS funding which has improved their lives immensely. Her interest, over time, in the NDIS grew and she researched this service, its processes and what it was offering to clients in great detail.

Shelley’s awareness of the support NDIS was able to offer clients and the enormous benefits it could bring to their lives led her to create Magnus Heath. A business where she could, along with a great team, significantly improve the lives of people living with a disability.
